PlayBlog VIDEO: Playbill Backstage Peeks Behind Curtain of Everyday Rapture Our new video feature Playbill Backstage, which puts a digital video camera in the hands of Broadway cast members, launches this week with a unique peek at the gang at Everyday Rapture.

Indecent proposals! Outsized ego! Shameless behavior! An illegal immigrant! We see it all in this four-part series May 18-21.

Edited by Playbill video producer Mark Ezovski, here are Parts 1, 2 and 3:

Broadway's Tony Award-nominated Everyday Rapture, a musical that probes the notion of showbiz persona, seemed like fertile ground to launch Playbill.com's new video feature, Playbill Backstage, which premiered May 18. Playbill Backstage is part of Playbill's new and expanding multimedia section.

We asked Everyday Rapture cast member Eamon Foley (also known for 13 and Gypsy) to introduce us to star and co-writer Sherie Rene Scott, back-up girls Lindsay Mendez and Betsy Wolfe (affectionately known as the "Mennonettes") and the rest of the gang backstage at the American Airlines Theatre.

We wanted a singular peek at the Roundabout Theatre Company's new production, and we got it. Foley and company play around with Playbill, taking Everyday Rapture's idea of showbiz ego to the extreme.

Everyday Rapture, directed by Michael Mayer, was nominated for two 2010 Tony Awards: Best Book of a Musical (Sherie Rene Scott and Dick Scanlan) and Best Actress in a Musical (Scott). The Roundabout Theatre presents the Second Stage Theatre production at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre on West 42nd Street. The cast album is available from Sh-K-Boom Records at sh-k-boom.com.
