"Theatre Talk" — the popular PBS stage-related talk show featuring Michael Riedel, theatre columnist and reporter of The New York Post, and Susan Haskins — will venture into new territory on its Nov. 30 program. On that show, a new feature, "Viewer Mail," will be introduced, with Riedel answering questions and comments. Among the topic addressed: "the ethics of evaluating shows in the press before they open and the irreverent attitude of some theater journalists towards theatrical work and artists."

In another unusual segment, "Theatre Talk" will focus on the venerable Off-Off-Broadway space, Dixon Place, talking to its founder and artistic director Ellie Covan, actress Nancy Giles, who has played Dixon Place, and Side Man author Warren Leight, who began his career in small Downtown venues.

The show airs Nov. 30 at midnight on Channel 13 in New York City. "Theatre Talk" is now in its fifth season. This year, the program will be seen on Thirteen/WNET, WGBH/Boston (PBS affiliate), CCIT in Hartford, and as part of MetroArts/Thirteen on Cablevision’s Metro channels.
