The Virginia Stage Company turns 20 this February with a celebratory open house from 12-4 PM, Feb. 13 at the Wells Theatre.

Included in this chance to look behind the scenes at VSC will be backstage tours of the Wells Theatre, demonstrations in the costume, props and scene shops, theatre games and theatre mask creation for the kids, and an anniversary cake. Entertainment will be provided by story-teller Jim Kincaid, regional magicians providing a preview of VSC's annual magic event Magic at the Wells, and a performance from the cast of Falsettos, the company's spring musical.

VSC, Virginia's only fully professional theatre opened Feb. 7, 1980 with Alan Ayckbourn's Relatively Speaking. The company has produced more than 125 plays -- three of them world premieres and 17 of them American premieres -- including The Secret Garden which opened at VSC prior to its Broadway run.
