Paula Vogel's The Baltimore Waltz will begin performances at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston Feb. 12. The play will run through March 14. A semi-autobiographical play, The Balitmore Waltz follows Anna, a school teacher, and her brother Carl through Europe as he falls in love. Vogel, whose own brother died in 1988 of AIDS, wrote the play in memory of him.
Paula Plum (Elliot Norton Award for 1998's Best Fringe Production for "Plum Pudding") directs the cast, which includes Marjorie Zohn (Anna), John Kuntz (Carl) and Richard Snee (various characters).
Other Vogel plays include How I Learned To Drive and Desdemona.
