Producers of the Broadway revival Wait Until Dark were denying an April 7 New York Post story saying "Seinfeld" star Michael Richards was being sought to replace Quentin Tarantino in the thriller's central role. "There's no truth to it," a production spokesperson told Playbill On-Line April 7. "It's one of those sly comments someone made that somehow got turned into a newspaper story. For the record: Quentin Tarantino is in for the whole run."

Richards, who plays the role of Kramer on the hit sitcom, is considering options for what to do when the show ends its nine-year run in May.

However, another "Seinfeld" star, Jason Alexander, told Playbill On-Line in 1997 that he's working with Charles Strouse on a musical based on the Oscar-winning film Marty for Broadway. No production timetable has been set.
