News Wallace Shawn's Hit Play Changes CA Venue Wallace Shawn's The Fever, which has been on the L.A. Weekly's recommended list for six months, has moved to a new venue, the Tsunami Bakery & Cafe in Little Tokyo. The solo show starring Paul Mackley will be performed every Monday night at 8 PM until further notice.

Wallace Shawn's The Fever, which has been on the L.A. Weekly's recommended list for six months, has moved to a new venue, the Tsunami Bakery & Cafe in Little Tokyo. The solo show starring Paul Mackley will be performed every Monday night at 8 PM until further notice.

Mackley plays a man slumped on the floor of a hotel bathroom who, as the night wears on, is visited by his personal demons. Wendy Molyneux and Leigh Okies designed and directed the show.

The Fever was originated by Shawn himself at New York's Public Theater several seasons ago. Since then, it has been performed by various actors across the nation. Shawn's other plays include Aunt Dan and Lemon and The Designated Mourner.
