The country star, who also played a stint in Broadway's Chicago, sang the heart-wrenching solo for MCC's Miscast Gala April 1.

MCC Theater hosted its annual Miscast gala April 1. The event, a tradition of the Off-Broadway company since 2001, invites a “class” of performers to sing songs from roles in which they would not otherwise be cast.

Country star and Sugarland lead vocalist Jennifer Nettles joined the lineup at this year’s event, performing “It All Fades Away,” the emotional final song in Jason Robert Brown’s Tony-winning musical The Bridges of Madison County. Watch her performance above.
