In the second part of a video series celebrating the musical Come From Away, about a group of travelers whose planes were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, during the events of 9/11, several Newfoundlanders discuss seeing themselves on stage in the hit production.
In the video above, Newfoundlander Brian Mosher says, “The level of accuracy in this story is staggeringly beautiful… Honored beyond words of the level of depiction that's real.”
The acclaimed musical, which premiered on Broadway in spring 2017, made its New York debut after playing tryouts at La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., and Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre. The musical also recently opened at London's Phoenix Theatre as an additional sit-down engagement plays Toronto. It will make its Australian premiere this July in Melbourne.
Come From Away was penned by Tony-nominated composers and librettists Irene Sankoff and David Hein with direction by Tony-winning director Christopher Ashley.
