The new musical Hood: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure continues its limited engagement at Dallas Theater Center through August 6. Take a look at footage from the show, which, according to the New York Post, is eyeing a potential move to New York, above.

Hood officially opened at the 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award-winning company July 7 following previews that began June 29.

Written and directed by five-time Tony-nominated playwright Douglas Carter Beane and with a score by Lewis Flinn, the musical features Nick Bailey as Robin Hood alongside Alysha Umphress (On the Town) as Meg, Ashley Park (Sunday in the Park with George) as Marian, Tiana Kaye Johnson as Lady Jane, Billie Aken-Tyers as Much, Ricco Fajardo as Gamble Gold, Ian Ferguson as Alan A’Dale, Austin Scott as Sheriff of Nottingham, Beth Lipton as Lady Anne, Luke Longacre as Little John, Chris Ramirez as Friar Tuck, and Jacob ben Widmar as Will Scarlett.

In this twist on the ancient legend of Robin Hood, audiences, according to DTC, “will learn what makes a hero in this hilarious and stirring world-premiere musical with stories of rebellion, hope and love.”

The production features set design by Tony Award winner John Lee Beatty, costume design by Gregory Gale, sound design by Tony winner John Shivers, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, choreography by Joseph Pizzi and Robert Bianca, music direction and supervision by Brad Simmons, and puppet design by James Ortiz.
