Take a look above at a trailer for the forthcoming National Theatre Live broadcast of the critically acclaimed London revival of Angels in America.

The Marianne Elliott-helmed production of Tony Kushner's two-part saga officially opened May 4 in the National’s Lyttelton Theatre with a cast headed by Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane, James McArdle, Russell Tovey, and Denise Gough. Completing the company are Stuart Angell, Susan Brown, Laura Caldow, Claire Lambert, Amanda Lawrence, Becky Namgauds, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Stan West, and Lewis Wilkins.

The two parts of Angels in America will be broadcast live to cinemas one week apart: Part One on July 20, Part Two on July 27. Visit for more information.

Kushner’s epic historical drama captures the lives of the HIV-positive Prior, his lover Louis, closeted gay Mormon Joe, his Valium-addicted wife Harper, his mother from Utah Hannah, notorious lawyer Roy Cohn, and his nurse Belize. Through a period of death and tumultuous change, these characters discover, confront, and seduce each other, and are joined by the Angel, a terrifying and beautiful herald of the apocalypse.
