Classic Arts News Wax Mozart Stolen From Museum The head of a life-sized wax rendition of Mozart has been stolen from a Salzburg museum, the Associated Press reports.
It was stolen, museum employee Elisabeth Stoeckl estimated, between 8 p.m. on August 27 and this morning at 9 a.m.

The figure of the composer was standing next to a figure of conductor Herbert von Karajan on the fourth floor of a multimedia museum called Next to Mozart.

The head's value has been estimated at $18,427, although museum employees said the work was unique.
