How is PS Classics different than PS Classics Inc.?

PS Classics Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) company founded in 2002 by Tommy Krasker and Philip Chaffin "to preserve the heritage of the American musical theatre."

PS Classics Inc. "fulfills its mission through a variety of activities," according to its website. "We locate and restore original performance materials of forgotten works of the American musical theatre, then record these works with leading artists from the worlds of Broadway, opera, and jazz. We work with the estates of the great songwriters to help bring their forgotten repertoire to light. And we collaborate with nonprofit theatre companies in preserving newer works that otherwise would not be recorded."

The musicals chosen for preservation by PS Classics Inc. have never been recorded. "Hundreds of scores, particularly those produced between the World Wars, have been woefully neglected."
