Run at the Muny July 9 Tony Award winner Randy Graff, most recently on Broadway in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof, plays the title role in a production of Jerry Herman's Hello, Dolly!, which begins previews at the St. Louis Muny — the nation's oldest and largest outdoor theatre — July 9.

The starry company also features Lewis J. Stadlen as Horace Vandergelder, Kate Baldwin as Irene Molloy, James Clow as Cornelius Hackl, Jennifer Cody as Minnie Fay, Telly Leung as Barnaby Tucker, Dana Domenick as Ermengarde, Jane Pisarkiewicz as Mrs. Rose, Ruth Pferdehirt as Ernestina Money, Rich Pisarkiewicz as Rudolph, Gary Glasgow as the Judge, Darren Biggart and Ian Joseph as the Horse, Ian Joseph as the Court Clerk, Nathaniel Braga as Stanley and Kendal Sparks as Ambrose Kemper. The production will play the outdoor venue through July 15.

The ensemble comprises Brandon Bieber, Darren Biggart, Nathaniel Braga, Kyle Brown, Will Burton, Joe Butler, Dana Domenick, Ted Ely, Eric Sean Fogel, Stephanie Gibson, Gary Glasgow, Robert Hartwell, Daisy Hobbs, Lauren Holmes, Ian Joseph, John Meurer, Sean Montgomery, Halle Morse, Ruth Pferdehirt, Jane Pisarkiewicz, Rich Pisarkiewicz, Peggy Quinn, Corbin Reid, Liam Rhodes, Tim Schall, Sara Sheperd, Kendal Sparks, Cary Tedder, Billy Tighe, Gia Grazia Valenti and Amos Wolff.

Lee Roy Reams, who directed the most recent Broadway revival of Dolly!, directs at the Muny as well. The creative team also includes Randy Slovacek (choreographer), Michael Horsely (musical director), Michael Anania (set designer), F. Mitchell Dana (lighting designer) and Nevin Hedley (stage manager).

Hello, Dolly!, suggested by Thornton Wilder's "The Matchmaker," features a score by Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart. Directed and choreographed by Gower Champion, the original production opened in January 1964 at the St. James Theatre, playing 2,844 performances before closing Dec. 27, 1970. The original cast featured Carol Channing, Eileen Brennan, David Burns, Jerry Dodge, Alice Playten, Charles Nelson Reilly and Ken Ayers. The musical won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Actress in a Musical (Channing).

The Muny season will also feature Peter Pan (July 16-22), The Pajama Game (July 23-29), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (July 30-Aug. 5) and Les Misérables (Aug. 6-15). Randy Graff received a Tony Award for her performance in Cy Coleman's City of Angels, and her other Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof, A Class Act, High Society, Moon Over Buffalo, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Falsettos and Les Misérables as well as the City Center Encores! production of Do Re Mi. Off-Broadway she was seen in The Long Christmas Ride Home, Hotel Suite, A...My Name Is Alice, Coming Attractions and Pins and Needles as well as in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's mounting of The Threepenny Opera. Graff's screen credits include "Notes from the Underbelly," "Keys to Tulsa," "Moon Over Broadway," "Mad About You" and "Law & Order."
