News West End's Dreamboats and Petticoats to Shutter Aug. 4 The West End's Dreamboats and Petticoats, a rock 'n' roll jukebox musical that has been running at the Playhouse since 2010, is to shutter Aug. 4. It was originally booking through Nov. 24.

Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, it is inspired by the smash hit million-plus selling compilation pop albums of the same name, and features songs made famous by Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Neil Sedaka, Eddie Cochran, Dion and Del Shannon, among others.

A national tour continues to play around the country.
