News West Side Story, Rock of Ages and Hair Will Play Boston The upcoming national tours of West Side Story, Rock of Ages and Hair will be presented as part of Broadway in Boston's 2010-2011 season.

Opening the season at the Boston Opera House will be the return of Wicked Sept. 1-Oct. 17. Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman penned the Tony-nominated musical based on the Gregory Maguire novel about the darker side of Oz.

The Tony-nominated '80s-set tuner Rock of Ages will play the Colonial Theatre Oct. 6-17. Book writer Chris D'Arienzo incorporates hits from Journey, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison and Whitesnake into the story of two young kids with Hollywood dreams.

Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice's Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys will conjure the songs and story of the Four Seasons at the Colonial Theatre from Dec. 16, 2010-Jan. 30, 2011.

Following will be the Disney musical Mary Poppins Feb. 17-March 20, 2011, at the Boston Opera House. Based on the popular film, the stage production has been expanded to include original songs by the Sherman Brothers and additional songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

The Tony Award-winning revival of Hair, directed by Tony nominee Diane Paulus, will arrive at the Colonial March 22-April 10, 2011. The iconic 1960s musical by Galt MacDermot, Gerome Ragni and James Rado features such songs as "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In" and "Easy to Be Hard." The final offering of the season will be the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of the Leonard Bernstein-Stephen Sondheim-Arthur Laurents musical West Side Story June 14-July 9, 2011. The classic American musical resets the story of Romeo and Juliet on the streets of New York.
