News Westchester's A Christmas Carol Finds Its Scrooge
The Westchester Broadway Theatre has announced casting for the new musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol, which is set to begin performances Nov. 28.

The new musical features music, book and lyrics by George Puello, with a few traditional carols added to the mix. Puello promises surprising new twists for Westchester audiences eager for the tale of Scrooge and the trio of ghosts who visit him on Christmas Eve.

David Edwards (The Producers, By Jeeves) will star as Scrooge with fellow cast members Bo Broadwell, Michelle Dawson, Christine DiTota, Michael J. Farina, Floryn Glass, Ann -Ngaire Martin, Paulette Oliva, Nathan Scherich, Gary Troy and Peter James Zilinski. Filling out the ensemble will be the young members of the Westchester Dreamcoats.

Additional entertainment slated for the Westchester holiday line up are world-class ballroom champions Erminio Stefano and Liene Apale, Francisco Forquera and Natalia Hills, Gherman Mustuc and Iveta Lukosiute, Steven Dougherty and Eulia Baranovsk, Dmitri and Svetlana Ostashkin, and Evgeny Dyachenko and Inna Ivanenko, who take to the Westchester stage to present the best of ballroom Dec. 3.

Westchester will also host the music of the Marshall Tucker Band Dec. 4, Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge Dec. 10, and Irish entertainer Tony Kenny with "Christmastime in Ireland" on Dec. 11.

Tenors Michael Crouse, Thomas Stallone and Rinaldo Toglia will perform opera, Italian love songs, show tunes and more on Dec. 17. The three Westchester tenors will also pay tribute to the late opera legend Luciano Pavarotti. Dec. 18 will feature Steve Lippia and his swing band in an evening titled "Simply Sinatra." Westchester will also present holiday fare for children with its presentation of the musical Frosty the Snowman Dec. 15 and 22.
