Pam MacKinnon will direct the play about imagining an alternate life for yourself. Opening will be Aug. 11.

Westfeldt played Eileen in the Broadway revival of Wonderful Town and Keating was Judy Garland in The Boy From Oz.

Here's how Primary Stages characterizes the new play: "If you had the power to revise your past, what would you change? Who would you be? In A Lifetime Burning, trust fund darling Emma (played by Westfeldt) imagines what her life would have been like had she come from a less privileged background. Trouble is, she chronicles her alternate life in a new tell-all 'memoir' that was sold for a hefty advance. When Emma is exposed, will her sister, Tess (played by Kirk), stand by her? Or will Emma's deceit destroy their already fractured relationship? This dark comedy brings up questions of legacy, loyalty and what it means to belong."

Cram's Dusty and the Big Bad World, a satire involving censorship, gay relationships and children's TV, recently had its world premiere by Denver Center Theatre Company. Her work has been seen at Barrington Stage, The Public Theater and South Coast Rep.

The creative team includes Kris Stone (set), Theresa Squire (costumes), David Weiner (lights) and Daniel Baker (sound). The production stage manager is C.A. Clark. Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters is at 59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues.

A Lifetime Burning will play the following performance schedule: Tuesdays at 7 PM, Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 Pm, Saturdays at 2 PM & 8 PM, with Sunday matinees at 3 PM on Aug. 2, 9 & 16, and Wednesday matinees at 2 PM on Aug. 19, 26 & Sept. 2.
