The Greatest Gift will be presented Dec. 13 at 7 PM as part of Westport's Script in Hand series. Wiltse (Marriage Minuet, Sedition and Scramble) penned the play that features music by King (A Saint She Ain’t, Privates on Parade). Mark Shanahan will direct.

According to Westport, "This charming, new play tells the story of the Smith-Goldman family who celebrate the holiday season in their own way. When eight-year-old Emma bumps her head in a fall, sending her into a fantastical dream world, she and her parents discover that what really matters has nothing to do with gifts and ritual and all to do with who you love."

McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera, Anything Goes) is cast as Oscar/Showman, with Lewis (Sunday in the Park With George) as Jill/Grandmother, Jeremy Peter Johnson as Daniel/Grandfather, Orly Salik as Emma and Luke Sauer as Young Daniel.
