The Steve Martin play Meteor Shower made its official New York premiere November 29, celebrating its opening night at Broadway’s Booth Theatre. The comedy stars Emmy winners Amy Schumer and Keegan-Michael Key in their Broadway debuts, as well as Tony winner Laura Benanti and Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos.

Set in Ojai, California, Meteor Shower follows married couple Corky (Schumer) and Norm (Shamos), who invite another couple—Laura (Benanti) and Gerald (Key) over for dinner. Soon, the two couples launch into ruthless Who's Afraid,t of Virginia Woolf?-esque psychological warfare—the fury and absurdity of which matched only by the space rocks falling above them
The play received its world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre. A subsequent production played the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.
The production, produced by Joey Parnes, Sue Wagner, and John Johnson, features sets by Beowulf Boritt, costumes by Ann Roth, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Fitz Patton, and casting by Caparelliotis Casting.
