The Oscar-winning actor spoke about his work in the classic film "The Sound of Music," which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. Plummer also admitted turning down the role of Gandalf in the "Lord Of The Rings" films, a part played by Sir Ian McKellen.

Plummer won Tony Awards for his performances in both Cyrano and Barrymore.
