News WHAT Summer Season Has Reza, Aronson, Auburn, Lonergan, Shepard It'll be a season of well-established men and The Unexpected Man at the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre of Cape Cod, with a couple premieres thrown in for good measure. Among the authors represented: Yasmina Reza, David Auburn, Kenneth Lonergan and Sam Shepard.

Reza's The Unexpected Man opens the 2003 season at the Wellfleet, MA, shoreside theatre, which is now in its 19th season as the oldest, professional nonprofit theatre on the Cape. Paul Benedict of "The Jeffersons" and Hughie and The Music Man on Broadway, will star in the two-hander opposite local talent Lisa Richards. The piece, about a chance encounter between a famous author and his slavish admirer, is directed by David Wheeler and runs May 21-June 7.

The New England premiere of the Billy Aronson farce The Art Room, about a romance in a mental ward (June 12-July 5), is followed by the solo show Jewbano, written and performed by Frank Speiser. Jewbano, in which Speiser acts out, sings and dances his Cuban Jewish Brooklyn upbringing, had a successful run at the nearly Payomet Arts Center in 2002 and plays at WHAT Monday and Tuesday nights June 30-Aug. 26.

The season's one world premiere, Live Girls by Victoria Stewart follows, July 10-July 26. The characters include a performance artist, her assistant and a porn star. Together they explore issues including race, sex and ethics.
