The 9:30 PM concert will feature songs from the EP as well as original material and covers. Ryah Nixon (Beaches, 9 to 5) and Melody Davi (42nd Street national tour) will provide backup vocals with a special guest performance by Alison Luff (Ghost, Wicked).
The band will be comprised of Benjamin Rauhala (piano), Will Hastings (guitar), Eli Katz Zoller (bass) and Collin Stranahan (drums).
"Ginger Love" will be released Sept. 1 on iTunes and is "a celebration of new beginnings and love! All the songs are within the genre of pop/gospel." All songs were written and recorded while on the road with Wicked and later transcribed for the EP by Lou Garrett.
Johnson has also been seen in Glory Days, Xanadu and Altar Boyz.
