The New York Times reports that Peters and Short are planning to meet with theatre producers this month to discuss the possibility of a Broadway revival of the Tom Jones-Harvey Schmidt musical. The meeting is neither a reading nor a workshop, but "a preliminary meeting to talk about the script and bat around ideas for the characters," according to the Times.

The producers involved include Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and John Gore and Beth Williams of Broadway Across America. That foursome produced the current revival of How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and the 2010 revival of Promises, Promises.

Based on the play The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog, I Do! I Do! features book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. Mary Martin and Robert Preston starred in the original Broadway production.

Peters is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Follies.
