Will Laura Osnes and Steven Pasquale Ride a Carousel to Broadway? | Playbill

News Will Laura Osnes and Steven Pasquale Ride a Carousel to Broadway? Although no announcement has been made about the Lyric Opera of Chicago's current production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's Carousel heading to New York, considering the Broadway names involved onstage and backstage, there is already buzz about a possible transfer, courtesy of leading man Stephen Pasquale.

About a Broadway run, Pasquale, who plays Billy Bigelow, told the Chicago Sun-Times, "I guess we all have evil, secret plans that it might happen…But we’re not thinking about that now."

Pasquale previously broke the news of the Chicago Carousel to Playbill.com in October 2014, explaining, "I'm working on 'The Good Wife' through the fall, and I'm going to do Carousel in the spring in Chicago at the Chicago Lyric Opera. It's a great role, and I hope we bring it in. Rob Ashford's directing."
