While it does not represent an official tour announcement, the Avid website is inviting regional presenters to consider booking the Tony-nominated Best Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George (now at Roundabout Theatre Company's Studio 54) and the Tony-nominated Best Play, The 39 Steps (now at the Cort Theatre), for dates starting in fall 2009.
No casting or tour dates have been announced.
Listed by Avid as "in the pipeline" is a tour of Thurgood, the well-received solo play about Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, by George Stevens Jr. It currently stars 2008 Tony Award nominee Laurence Fishburne in the title role. Avid reports: "North American touring plans to be announced soon!"
The tour of the musical Happy Days and a Theatre of the Stars-produced 2009 tour of Curtains are also on the Avid website. A spokesperson for TOTS said the tour of Curtains has not been officially announced. TOTS has a history of producing major productions of White Christmas, Annie and other shows, which have toured to other markets.

The four-actor caper comedy inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name is a London sensation that opened on Broadway Jan. 15 at Roundabout's American Airlines Theatre and moved to a commercial run at the Cort, where its 100 minutes of quick-change action plays eight shows a week.
It "follows the incredible adventures of our handsome hero, Richard Hannay, as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents, and (of course) devastatingly beautiful women."
Sunday in the Park With George was a hit at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London and on the West End before getting a Broadway production by Roundabout. The production stars London leads Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell and is nominated for nine 2008 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Costume Design of a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical and Best Sound Design of a Musical.
