News Will Tom Cruise Star in "Bob the Musical"? The long-in-the-works Disney film "Bob the Musical" may have found its star.

Academy Award nominee Tom Cruise is "circling" the project, according to TheWrap. Disney is also interested in Michel Hazanavicius to direct.

The film features a script by Allan Loeb.

"Bob the Musical," according to the entertainment website, "follows a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart after suffering a blow to the head. His reality instantly becomes a musical, much to his dismay."

Producers are Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn with Chris Bender and J.C. Spink of Benderspink.

International screen star Cruise will next be seen in "Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation." The actor was seen in the film version of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages.
