A world-premiere dance work, choreographed by Ronald K. Brown for African American modern dance companies Evidence and Philadanco, will pay homage to women around the world seeking liberation.
The Wolf Trap Opera Company presents three new productions, including the American premiere of Telemann's Orpheus, Rossini's Le Comte Ory, and a new production of The Marriage of Figaro.
The company will also presents two recitals with Steven Blier of the New York Festival of Song and a concert version of Gounod's Romeo et Juliette in collaboration with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Other highlights include jazz crossover legends Al Jarreau and George Benson; singer Bonnie Raitt; a new collaboration by Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint; and the 17th Annual Louisiana Swamp Romp.
