News Wolfe's The Colored Museum Returns to Crossroads Sept. 25 The Tony Award-winning Crossroads Theatre Company presents a revival of George C. Wolfe's The Colored Museum beginning Sept. 25.

Under the direction of Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, The Colored Museum returns to Crossroads, having premiered at the New Jersey company in 1986. The production runs through Oct. 5. The cast features Inga Ballard, Derric Harris, LaTonia Phipps, Tiffany Jewell and Timothy Ware.

The Colored Museum, according to press notes, "lampoons the myths and stereotypes of African-American culture. Traveling through a metaphorical journey in a 'museum,' several vignettes spoof cultural aspects of black culture such as slavery, hair, and Big Momma."

Additional productions on the Crossroads line-up include It Ain't Nothing But the Blues (Nov. 6-23) and Sheila's Day (April 16-May 3, 2009).
