Carter, who played Matron "Mama" Morton in the London company of Chicago, will play the intimate cabaret Oct. 30-Nov. 3, according to a Feinstein's spokesperson.
As previously announced, opening the fall season at Feinstein's Sept. 11-29 will be songwriting and R&B duo Ashford and Simpson. They will be followed by Rendezvous: An Evening of Piaf Brel, Aznavour & Friends (Oct. 2-6); Amy Hanaial'l in Generation Hawaii (Oct. 9-13); and Mary Cleere Haran Sings Doris Day (Oct. 16-27).
Tony Award winner Chita Rivera will present a brand-new show for Feinstein's Nov. 6-24; she will be followed by Michael Feinstein in his annual holiday show Nov. 27-Dec. 29.
Feinstein's concurrent Sunday and Monday Night Series includes Keith David in his tribute to Nat King Cole (Sept. 23-24); Pamela Luss, who will perform selections from her latest recording "Your Eyes" (Sept. 30); Clifton Davis (Oct. 7); Broadway veteran Rachel York (Oct. 14-15); Tony Martin (Oct. 21-22); Joni James (Oct. 28-29); Susan Anton (Nov. 11-12); and Erin McKeown and her Little Big Band (Nov. 25-26).
