Westfeldt, who is best known for her film "Kissing Jessica Stein," will co-star with Chris Messina in the new motion picture, which is scheduled to begin filming in New York Nov. 12 under the direction of Robert Cary. The cast, according to the Hollywood Reporter, will also feature Frances Conroy, Fred Willard and Robert Klein as well as six celebrity therapists to be named at a later date. The film concerns the impromptu marriage of Westfeldt and Messina's characters, which leads to "a chain of affairs involving their parents, exes and therapists," according to the industry paper. About her newest project Westfeldt told the Hollywood Reporter that the film explores the idea that "marriage is a coin toss, and whether or not it's an outdated institution for the younger generation. . . .I hope it sparks debate."
Producers for the film include Westfeldt, Brad Zions, Jennifer Todd, Ilana Levine and Declan Baldwin.
