News World Premiere Musical Warsaw Featuring Fred Inkley Will Debut at NYMF Oct. 4 Fred Inkley, Susan Derry, and Josh Young will headline the world premiere of Warsaw for the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Based on true events from World War II, Warsaw "follows Roman, a young Jewish man, who is trapped inside the Warsaw ghetto, separated from his fiancée, Ana, a Polish Catholic," press notes state. "With a richly harmonic and soaring score, we watch their struggle to reunite against overwhelming odds as Roman joins a small group of fighters who struggle for freedom and dignity." Warsaw features book and lyrics by John Atkins with a score by William Wade. Jamibeth Margolis will direct the stage reading as part of the Developmental Series, which features lighting design by Joel Silver and Andrew Fritsch, sound design by Kristyn R. Smith, musical direction by John Bell and orchestrations by William Wade.

The cast will also feature Jennifer Babiak, Reed Prescott, Rena Strober, Anne Tolpegin, John Dewar, Jenny Rose Baker, Kip Driver, Stephanie Estep, Eric Gunhus, Julie Hanson, Michael Herwitz, Michael Jacobs, Lauren Lebowitz, Paul Lincoln, Patrick Mellen, Jeffrey Mills, Jillian Mueller, Liza Miller, Robbie Neigeborn, Alan Ostroff, Richard J. Portela, Mark Sanders, Jendi Tarde, and Emily Van Flee.
