News Wright and Pfortmiller Will Join Reichard, Kind and Blazer in NYCO's Candide Additional casting has been announced for the New York City Opera's upcoming production of Candide, which will be presented at the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center April 8-20.

As previously announced, recent Jersey Boys star Daniel Reichard will star in the title role with Broadway and City Opera veteran Judith Blazer as The Old Lady, The Producers' Richard Kind as Dr. Pangloss/Voltaire and Lauren Worsham and Lielle Berman, who will share the role of Cunegonde.

They will be joined onstage by Jessica Wright (Broadway's LoveMusik, Company and Sweeney Todd) as Paquette and baritone Kyle Pfortmiller as Maximillian.

Performance dates have also been announced for Worsham and Berman: Worsham will play Cunegonde April 8, 10, 12 (matinee), 13 (matinee), 16, 18, 19 (evening) and 20 (matinee); Berman will play the role April 9, 11, 12 (evening), 15, 17 and 19 (matinee).

Arthur Masella will direct the Harold Prince production with choreography by Patricia Birch. George Manahan will conduct the orchestra. The staging will also feature sets by Clarke Dunham, costumes by Judith Dolan, lighting by Ken Billington and sound by Abe Jacob.

Candide features music by Leonard Bernstein, a book by Hugh Wheeler, lyrics by Richard Wilbur with additional lyrics by Bernstein, John Latouche and Stephen Sondheim.
