Write Act is presently putting the finishing touches on its 99-seat theatre, which is housed in a two-story building with room for offices and classrooms. Classes in acting, music, playwriting and all technical aspects of theatre production will be held here, taught by company professionals.

"Beginning a relationship with the Write Act Repertory Company seemed natural because our two communities, in many ways, share common purposes and dreams," said Rev. Jaime Edwards Acton. "We are both trying to create authentic community through song, laughter, drama and story-telling. I am confident that we are alike in many more ways than we are different."

For its inaugural season at St. Stephen's, Write Act will present the world premiere of Ellen Byron's Old Sins, Long Shadows on Oct. 22. The play deals with a feuding Kentucky family and is directed by Anthony Di Pietro. The run is through Dec. 4.
