Classic Arts News Wynton Marsalis Steps Into Ed Bradley's Role as Radio Voice of Jazz at Lincoln Center Wynton Marsalis will host Jazz at Lincoln Center's national radio program, continuing the legacy of Ed Bradley, who died on November 9 at age 65 of complications from leukemia.
Bradley, the renowned CBS News 60 Minutes correspondent, hosted the radio programs for 14 seasons.

On the upcoming broadcasts, Marsalis, artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, will introduce performances by jazz artists; listeners will also hear from guest hosts including Lincoln Center jazz curator Phil Schapp.

"Ed Bradley was a great lover of jazz and a great friend to Jazz at Lincoln Center," said Marsalis. "And for every week since that first radio show, Ed's voice reached all of us with authority and feeling. He told us 'hey, check this out. It's important and you'll love it,' and it seemed people did."

Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio airs nationwide on more than 240 stations and can be heard at www.jalc.org/jazzcast/j_radio.asp.
