Catherine Gillet's Wyoming will have its New York premiere Sept. 14 at the 78th Street Theatre Lab. The production began performances Aug. 3 for a run through Oct. 8.

The show stars Marylouise Burke, winner of the 2000 Drama Desk Award for her role in Fuddy Meers. Also in the cast are Rosalyn Coleman and Camilla Enders. Coleman appeared on Broadway inSeven Guitars and The Piano Lesson. Theatre Lab's Artistic Director Eric Nightengale is at the helm as director.

The play is a haunting psychological journey. Three women escape from an institution and drive across the county. They try to reach Wyoming, and find redemption at a river, but find grace in the most unlikely places, through their imaginations. Gillet began working on the play as a member of the Playwrights Project of Circle Repertory Company.

Nightengale served as the Associate Artistic Director for the Developing Artists Series at the Drama League of New York, and directed productions at Victory Gardens Theatre, and Second City. Other 78th Street Theatre Lab credits include The Man in the Flying Lawn Chair, The Packwood Papers and The Frog Prince.

The Theatre is located at 236 West 78th Street (at Broadway.) For reservations and ticket information, call 212-873-9050. -- Daniel Fischer
