News Xanadu Taped for Lincoln Center Archives May 29; "Regis" Appearance in June The new Broadway musical Xanadu — which was recently nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical — will be preserved May 29.

The 8 PM performance of the acclaimed musical at the Helen Hayes Theatre will be taped for the Lincoln Center Archives. Tickets are currently available to be part of that performance.

The cast of Xanadu will also be featured on the June 12 broadcast of "Live with Regis and Kelly." That morning chat show airs in the metropolitan area on WABC-TV, Channel 7 at 9 AM ET; check local listings. Kerry Butler will also appear on FOX's "Good Day New York" June 6.

Xanadu features Cheyenne Jackson, Kerry Butler, Tony Roberts, Jackie Hoffman, Mary Testa, Kenita Miller, Patti Murin, Kyle Dean Massey and Andre Ward.

Xanadu boasts a book by Little Dog Laughed playwright Douglas Carter Beane and utilizes songs from John Farrar and Jeff Lynne's film soundtrack. The musical, according to press notes, "tells the story of one of the nine muses of ancient Greece who comes to earth to inspire the greatest of artistic achievements – a roller disco. Along the way she falls in love, bumps into an old acquaintance and for the first time, feels the desire to create herself."

The Xanadu cast recording is available on the PS Classics label.
