News York Teams With Marymount Manhattan on Spring Musical Theatre Intensive The York Theatre Company will team with Marymount Manhattan College for the fourth straight summer on the New Musical Theatre Intensive for performers ages 18-27, which will run May 21-June 25.

Participants will learn to perform new musical theatre compositions by emerging writers whose work has been featured at the York Theatre, culminating in a showcase at the York.

Last year's program included material from such writers as Paul McKibbins, BT McNicholl, Adam Overett, Charles Bloom, Brad Ross, Ellen Greenfield, Joe Keenan, Joe Iconis, Jihwan Kim, Sean Hartley, Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen, John McMahon, Jay Jeffries, Mathew Frank, Dean Bryant, David Evans & Sarah Schlesinger, Lawrence Rosen, Stephen Dolginoff, Scott Alan and David Kirshenbaum.

Past teachers have included music director-actor Matt Castle (Peter in Broadway's Company), director-choreographer Robert Durkin, actor-choreographer Luis Perez, director Michael Montel and choreographer-dancer Ananda Bena-Weber.

The cost of the program is $2,650. Housing in a Marymount Manhattan dormitory is available for an additional $1,300.
