News 13 Will Welcome Teenagers Free of Charge to Sept. 13 Dress Rehearsal The new Jason Robert Brown musical 13 will offer one of its final dress rehearsals as a free performance for teen audiences Sept. 13 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

Producers have announced that theatregoers ages 13-18 will be able to attend the Sept. 13 open dress rehearsal free of charge by visiting the musical's official website: 13fans.com.

Each individual will be eligible to win one free ticket to 13, which stars 13 teenagers and an all-teenage band. IDs will be checked at the door. The Sept. 13 open dress rehearsal will also welcome teenage students specially chosen from schools across the tri-state area.

Parents and chaperones of 13 fans who win a free ticket will be provided a special discount and priority seating at Planet Hollywood, in addition to a discount offer to return to see 13.

13 begins previews on Broadway Sept. 16 and will officially open at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre Oct. 5.

Featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs for a New World) and a book by award winning children's author Dan Elish ("Born Too Short, Confessions of an 8th Grade Basket Case") and veteran writer for TV and film Robert Horn ("Designing Women"), 13, A New Musical is directed by Tony Award nominee Jeremy Sams and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific). The cast features Al Calderon as Eddie, Eamon Foley as Richie, Caitlin Gann as Molly, Ariana Grande as Charlotte, Aaron Simon Gross as Archie, Elizabeth Egan Gillies as Lucy, Malik Hammond as Malcolm, Joey La Varco as Simon, Delaney Moro as Kendra, Eric M. Nelsen as Brett, Graham Phillips as Evan, Allie Trimm as Patrice, Brynn Williams as Cassie. Also in the cast are Riley Costello, Henry Hodges, Mary Claire Miskell, Liana Ortiz, Max Schneider and Corey J. Snide.

The on-stage teen band comprises Lexi Bodick on bass, Zac Coe on percussion, Adam Michael Kaufman on keyboard, Zach Page on guitar, Chris Raymond on guitar, Charlie Rosen (swing musician).

13 features scenic and costume design by David Farley, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Jon Weston. Tom Kitt serves as musical director.
