News 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Presented Jan. 28 The 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be presented at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center Jan. 28. TNT and TBS will simulcast the ceremony beginning at 8 PM ET.

Theatre and film star Julie Andrews will be presented with the 43rd Annual Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. Dick Van Dyke, Andrews' co-star in "Mary Poppins," and Anne Hathaway, who joined Andrews for the "Princess Diaries" films, will present the Academy Award winner with her latest honor.

Other presenters for the annual awards ceremony will include Annette Bening, Steve Carell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Teri Hatcher, Ashton Kutcher, Sandra Oh, SAG president Alan Rosenberg, Kyra Sedgwick and Forest Whitaker.

"Dreamgirls," the new film based on the Broadway musical of the same name, earned three SAG nominations: Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role (Eddie Murphy), Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role (Jennifer Hudson) and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Murphy will vie for his award in a field that includes Alan Arkin ("Little Miss Sunshine"), Leonardo DiCaprio ("The Departed"), Jackie Earle Haley ("Little Children") and Djimon Hounsou ("Blood Diamond"). Hudson's competitors include Adriana Barraza ("Babel"), Cate Blanchett ("Notes on a Scandal"), Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine") and Rinko Kikuchi ("Babel"). Other films nominated in the Cast in a Motion Picture category include "Babel," "Bobby," "The Departed" and "Little Miss Sunshine."

Stage and screen stars Judi Dench ("Notes on a Scandal"), Helen Mirren ("The Queen") and Meryl Streep ("The Devil Wears Prada") will all vie for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role Award. Their competitors include Penelope Cruz ("Volver") and Kate Winslet ("Little Children"). Nominees in the Male Actor in a Leading Role field include Leonardo DiCaprio ("Blood Diamond"), Ryan Gosling ("Half Nelson"), Peter O'Toole ("Venus"), Will Smith ("The Pursuit of Happyness") and Forest Whitaker ("The Last King of Scotland").

In the primetime television categories, nominees of interest to theatre fans include Jeremy Irons (Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for "Earl of Leicester); Annette Bening ("Mrs. Harris"), Shirley Jones ("Hidden Places"), Cloris Leachman ("Mrs. Harris") and Helen Mirren ("Elizabeth I"), all nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries; Michael C. Hall (Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for "Dexter"); Edie Falco ("The Sopranos") and Chandra Wilson ("Grey's Anatomy"), both nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series category; Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock") and Tony Shalhoub ("Monk"), both nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series; and Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives"), Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace") and Mary-Louise Parker ("Weeds"), all nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
