News 4,000 Miles Opens at Philadelphia Theatre Company Oct. 16 Amy Herzog's Obie Award-winning 4,000 Miles officially opens at the Philadelphia Theatre Company Oct. 16 following previews that began Oct. 11.

Directed by Mary B. Robinson, 4,000 Miles features Beth Dixon as Vera, Leigha Kato as Amanda, Davy Raphaely as Leo and Shannon Marie Sullivan as Bec.

Performances continue through Nov. 10.

"In 4,000 Miles, a poignant yet comic drama, Leo unexpectedly arrives on the doorstep of his feisty grandmother’s West Village apartment, after a grueling cross-country bike trip," press notes state. "Over the course of a month, these unlikely roommates infuriate and bewilder one another, and discover the fragile line between growing up and growing old through humor, heartache, and love."

The creative team includes set designer Jason Simms, costume designer lizabeth Hope Clancy, lighting designer Thom Weaver and sound designer Bart Fasbender.
