A caricature of the actress, who is currently starring in the Tony-winning revival of 42nd Street, will be unveiled at the famed restaurant June 24 at 5 PM. Patrick Cassidy — Jones' son and 42nd Street co-star — will join his mother to celebrate the new portrait. The 42nd Street company will also be on hand for the unveiling. Jones' caricature will be displayed with the drawings of David, Patrick, Shaun and Jack Cassidy.
Shirley Jones appeared in the Broadway productions of South Pacific and Maggie Flynn, but is best known for her work on the small and silver screens. She was the matriarch of "The Partridge Family" and also starred in the films of "Oklahoma," "Carousel" and "The Music Man." Jones won an Academy Award for her performance in "Elmer Gantry."
