News A Comic Vaudeville on Gay Topics Plays Philly Oct. 7 & 14 Doug Anderson's BIG! GAY! SHOW!, billed as a comic vaudeville, will boast a collection of some of Philadelphia's top gay performers Oct. 7 and 14.

The show at The Red Room at Society Hill Playhouse will feature such original songs as "Ballad of Brokeback Mountain," and "Don't Cry for Me, Angelina (Jolie)," as well as "some of the oddest novelty acts on the planet." Also expect an epic "Judy Garland Medley."

The evening is hosted by the inebriated Dick Fits-Gerald. The show takes on such topics as internet encounters, porn, homophobia and closeted celebs.

"With tacky sets, skimpily-clad muscleboys, and a round of the 'Pink Pyramid' game show, it's a wild ride down the slippery slope of being gay in the New Millennium," according to Anderson.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The cost of admission includes a free drink.

Performances play 7:30 PM. The Society Hill Playhouse is at 507 S. 8th Street in Philadelphia. For information, call (215) 923-0210.
