The ceremony, held May 5 at NYU Skirball Center and hosted by Mike Birbiglia, saw big wins for Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future, Pass Over, and Carmen Jones.

The 2019 Lucille Lortel Awards, produced by the Off-Broadway League by arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation, were handed out May 5 at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts beginning at 7 PM. Mike Birbiglia, recently on Broadway in The New One, hosted.

The Ars Nova production of Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future, written by Andrew R. Butler and directed by Jordan Fein, took home the award for Best Musical. The award for Best Play went to Antoinette Nwandu's Pass Over, while Best Revival of a Musical went to John Doyle's production of Carmen Jones.
