The Cincinnati staging marks the first time Abigail/1702 has been produced since its limited premiere. The drama, which explores Abigail Williams' quest for a new life and redemption, will be staged by artistic director Blake Robison. It will continue through Feb. 17. Abigail/1702 officially opens Jan. 24.

David Esbjornson (Driving Miss Daisy, The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?) directed the Powerhouse developmental run of Abigail/1702, which starred Chloe Sevigny and Patrick Heusinger.

The Cincinnati cast will feature Stephanie Fieger as Abigail Williams, Nicholas Carriere as John Brown, Ross Bickell as Reverend Parris/Judge Sewell/Man in Gray, Deanne Lorette as Margaret Hale/Ann Foster/Elizabeth Proctor and Ethan Verderber as Thomas.

Abigail/1702, according to Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, "tells the story of The Crucible's Abigail Williams after she stole through Salem's forest one dark night in search of a new life and new beginning. Ten years have passed since the infamous witch trials, but Abigail still struggles to atone for her sins, the ones history remembers — and darker ones that live in her heart. As she cares for a young sailor on the brink of death, a mysterious stranger from Abigail's past catches up with her, sending her on one final, suspense-filled quest for redemption."

The production will have set design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Marion Williams, lighting design by Matthew Richards and sound design/music by Matthew M. Nielson. Aguirre-Sacasa also penned the revised book for Broadway's Spider-Man, as well as a new three-act version of Dracula for the Dallas Theater Center. His screen works include "Big Love" and "Glee." He is collaborating with Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik on a stage musical of American Psycho.
