Presented by Bat Country, The Cascade Falls, according to press notes, "follows the story of Peter and Angie, two young city dwellers who first meet at an unusual place: the funeral for their mutual acquaintance, Will. Neither claims to have known the dearly departed very well, but both have come to pay their respects nevertheless, and a perfect relationship is born. But things soon start to become complicated with the sudden arrival of two strangely familiar men who seem to echo certain traits of the recently deceased Will. The past and present begin to blur as Peter and Angie become haunted by secrets they've both been trying to conceal, and it soon becomes apparent that things may not be quite what they had seemed."
The cast for the Abingdon production will feature Lucas Beck, Kirsten Scoles and Sam Whitten. Ryan Hemphill will direct.
Playwright Adam Michael Cohen's previous works include Falling at the Speed of Light, Blues for Nina, Revolution, and Holy Matrimony. Cascade Falls is his second collaboration with Ryan Hemphill, who also directed his play Artless Charlie.
The Cascade Falls creative team includes scenic and costume consultant David Henderson, lighting by Oscar Mendoza with fight choreography by Ian Merrigan.
