News After Party Welcomes Davis, Egan and Yazbeck Nov. 17 The After Party, billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," continues Nov. 17 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Hairspray's Mary Bond Davis, The Producers' John Treacy Egan and A Chorus Line's Tony Yazbeck will be the evening's special guests. All three actors are scheduled to perform a few tunes at the weekly event.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" features Ray Fellman at the piano. Amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Mary Bond Davis was most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning musical Hairspray. Among her other Broadway credits are The Women, Marie Christine, Grease, Jelly's Last Jam and Mail. Davis' screen credits include "New York Minute," "Romance and Cigarettes," "Coming to America," "Hook," "Jeffrey," "The Preacher's Wife," "The Art of Dying," "Customs of the County" and "Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling." The singing actress is the recipient of three Drama-Logue Awards.

John Treacy Egan, who currently plays crooked producer Max Bialystock in the Broadway company of The Producers, also appears in the film version of the musical hit. He was an original cast member in the Broadway mounting of Jekyll & Hyde, and his other theatrical credits include tours of Kiss Me, Kate and Cats and the Off-Broadway staging of Bat Boy. Egan's TV credits include "Law & Order" and "As the World Turns."

Tony Yazbeck plays Al in the current Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. His other Main Stem credits include Never Gonna Dance, Oklahoma! and the Tyne Daly revival of Gypsy. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
