After the Fair, a new Cyrano-like musical with music by Matthew Ward, and book and lyrics by Stephen Cole is the next presentation of the Village Theatre's Village Originals, staged workshops of new works. Mary Jo DuGaw, Brad Curtis, Michael Mendiola and Shana Penning make up the cast of this nearly sung-through musical, about a turn of the century English mistress whose long dormant romantic feelings are revived when she begins to pen love letters for her illiterate maid.
After The Fair runs Apr. 23-May 10 at the original Village Theatre, now known as First Stage, 120 Front St, Issaquah. For tickets ($10-$12) call (425) 392-2202.
