News Alan Cumming's One-Man Macbeth Released as Audiobook Tony Award winner Alan Cumming's one-man adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, which is currently making its U.S. debut at the Lincoln Center Festival, is available in audiobook format from Simon & Schuster.

Reset in a psychiatric ward, where Cumming (Cabaret) relives Shakespeare's bloody tale, this incarnation of Macbeth is co-directed by Tony Award winner John Tiffany (OnceBlack Watch, The Bacchae) and Andrew Goldberg (Black Watch). It plays the Lincoln Center Festival through July 14. A two-disc CD captures Cumming's performance and is available by clicking here.

Here's how it's billed: "This radical reimagining of one of Shakespeare's most deeply psychological plays is set in a psychiatric unit in which Cumming is the lone patient. Channeling the story of Macbeth, he is inhabited in turn by each of the characters of the drama, including some of Shakespeare’s most complex and troubled creations."

For tickets to the New York engagement of Macbeth, phone (212) 721-6500, or visit LincolnCenterFestival.
