News Alfie Boe, Matt Lucas to Reprise Les Miz Performances in West End Cast; Hadley Fraser Will Be Javert Alfie Boe and Matt Lucas, who made such a big impression starring as Jean Valjean and Thénardier, respectively, in the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 last October, will reprise those roles in the West End production at the Queen's Theatre. They will begin performances June 23, with Boe starring through Nov. 26 and Lucas through Sept. 10. Hadley Fraser also joins the company to star as Javert.

Boe, who has starred on Broadway as Rodolfo in Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme, for which he won a joint Tony Award, is a regular performer with London's English National Opera, where his roles have included Nadir in The Pearl Fishers, and he is about to begin an engagement as Nanki-Poo in the return of Jonathan Miller's production beginning Feb. 26 with performances in rep to March 10. He has also appeared at the Royal Opera House in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette. He is also a best-selling recording artist; his latest release, "Bring Him Home," is now certified Gold with over 100,000 sales.

Lucas, who is best known for his TV series "Little Britain" and "Come Fly Away" and has also starred in Tim Burton's film "Alice in Wonderland," has previously appeared on the West End stage in Boy George's Taboo, in which he played Leigh Bowery.

Fraser, who also appeared in the '02 anniversary concert in which he played Grantaire, has previously appeared as Marius in the show's West End run at the Palace Theatre. His other credits include The Fantasticks in the West End and The Pirate Queen on Broadway.
