Isabelle Fuhrman, who was seen in the Off-Broadway world premiere of the drama All the Fine Boys, stars in the title role of an all-female reimagining of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Adapted and directed by Erica Schmidt, the Red Bull Theater Company production begins previews May 7 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre prior to an official opening May 19. Performances continue through June 9.

Joining Fuhrman in the cast will be Sharlene Cruz, Sophie Kelly-Hedrick, Ismenia Mendes, Anna Sophia Robb, Lily Santiago, and Ayana Workman.

This reinterpretation of Macbeth is based on the Slender Man and Skylar Neese murder cases. On an autumn afternoon, in an empty lot outside the city, seven girls meet up to do a play with witches, ghosts, and kings, but soon the line between real life and blood fantasy quickly blurs.
